New series of work based on the ability of an object to capture a reflection or memory of a space. Based on the book by Gaston Bachelard, Poetics of Space, where he investigates the lived experience of a space, I use the clay object to investigate/ record/ capture the corner as a living site of memory.
Using the box as a structure to support my work and the manipulation of internal space.
Re-configuring space and interpreting the corner as an architectural integer.
Tried my first smoke firing also based on the box and the manipulation of space.
